ABOUT

About Wildlife-Nannies

In the spring of 2007 the Berlin-based Context TV crew set out on a quest to find the most heart warming stories of orphaned baby animals and their human foster parents we could find in Germany, Europe, Australia and Africa for a new TV show called “Wildlife Nannies”. A few months later, we found ourselves with hundreds of amazing stories on our hands. We were astonished by the many brilliant people we met, selflessly dedicating their lives to saving and raising wild animals around the world. It soon became very clear to us, that the stories we had gathered could be told in many other ways than we did in the TV series – and deserved to be shared permanently. Playing with the thought of connecting these stories and their protagonists with each other the idea for the web-portal wildlife-nannies.com was born.

The aim of wildlife-nannies.com is to build a platform connecting animal lovers and activists worldwide. It is a place to present to you the stories we have gathered, give featured “Wildlife Nannies” a place to share a current insight into their work via a weblog and to rally support for their projects. At the same time, we invite users to take part in the community by responding to the Nanny blogs, telling their own favourite animal stories and sending us their own cutest animal pictures and video clips. We hope to build a unique international network of animal lovers worldwide – a place for exchanging stories, sharing knowledge, finding inspiration and getting to know one another. We invite you to join the Wildlife Nannies community today! Help us build the community – become a part of wildlife-nannies.com!

The TV series “Wildlife Nannies” is currently being shown on EquatorHD (www.voom.tv/equatorhd.html) on every Saturday until December 2007 at 12:00 pm ET.
